Flynn Gurry’s original Australian Blues & Roots music is liberating audiences with an entertaining delivery and display of Guitar dexterity. His songs are genuine stories of life raised in Warrnambool, Victoria touching on issues from the serious to the not so but draw every listener in to appreciate the positive experiences of life’s journey.
Flynn’s worldly view has developed while working in the award winning Find Your Voice (All Abilities) Choir alongside mentor Tom Richardson and sharing development/recording time with Shaun Kirk, resulting in a professional musical attitude.
While his influences also include John Butler it is Flynn’s tenacious attitude to provide each and every audience member a true live slice of his being that proves his musical growth is unbridled.
Flynn was recently a finalist at the National Busking Championships, landing him a spot on the line-up of the Canberra Blues Society International Blues Day. Some music events where he’s featured are Queenscliff Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Nightjar, National Blues Festival, one off events, other private shows, seeing him support artists such as Shane Howard (Goanna), John Schumann (Redgum), Shaun Kirk etc. Recently released single “Winter” made it’s way to #4 on the Triple J Unearthed Roots charts to now he’s gathering new material for release soon proving his strengths as a songwriter.
